History
The history of miscea GmbH dates back to 1999 when in Augsburg, two engineers shared a vision to develop an improved dispensing system for the medical market and food production industry. They envisioned a system which would combine the functionalities of a faucet and at least one other liquid to enhance efficiency and hygiene; an idea that would change the way people washed and sanitised their hands and see the beginning of miscea.By 2003 the very first miscea model was introduced and used initially in high impact facilities such as in medical and food service environments. Being the only product of its kind on the market, there is tremendous interest in miscea systems. The name ‘miscea’ was derived from the Latin word ‘miscere’ which means to blend or mix.
After eight years of garnered market knowledge and through continued investment in product R&D, during the autumn of 2007, miscea launched an improved range of miscea systems known as the new generation of miscea hand hygiene systems. As hygiene and nosocomial infections were and still are important issues within the medical industry, miscea together with its partners, provided medical professionals with a new, efficient and effective solution for a safer and higher level of care.
In 2011, the miscea CLASSIC® was launched; a highly anticipated system that could be programmed with a remote control, allowing for easy adjustments of various user settings, such as the amount of soap or disinfectant dispensed or the preferred starting water temperature.
Today, miscea GmbH is a privately held company based in Berlin, Germany. Although our location may have changed from our humble beginnings in Augsburg, our vision remains the same as it was back in 1999; to deliver innovative and effective solutions through inspirational and high quality products, and to ensure exceptional customer satisfaction.
